As a huge fan of the Lee Childs series featuring Jack Reacher, I did find the comparisons to that character and Alice Vega to be pretty accurate. One big difference is that this book was a lot less violent and gory than most of the Reacher series. Plus, there is a little hint of romance brewing between Vega and Cap, which adds another element.
I love the easy relationship between Cap and his daughter - this is a back story to the main story, but really helps to add to the characterization when there is another dimension to the main characters. It would be nice to see a bit more of who Vega is as well.
Although the book revolved around human sex trafficking and forced prostitution, there is no real sexual description, which I something I would have found off-putting.
I would definitely read more in this series.
