I started reading this book and kept thinking, "I know these characters. Where do I know Alice Vega from?" And then I went back to my Goodreads and realized that I read the first book in this series!
This book can definitely be read without having read the first book.
I really loved this book. It may be the best book I read in 2019. I loved the pace and it kept me guessing. I really love Alice Vega. She is such a strong female character. I hope this series continues. I can really see Alice Vega as the Alex Cross (James Patterson) of this decade. You'll love her character and find it very difficult to put this book down.
