This is the first time I've read anything by Louisa Luna and I'm really excited. My favorite crime novelist is Michael Connelly and the Harry Bosch series. The first page or so of "The Janes" made me feel right at home in this new author's world of Vega and Cap.

I like the fact that Cap would rather work with Vega on something not so permanent, but with the possibility of excitement than accepting a steady full-time job with benefits, with no challenge. I also like that Vega is not easily swayed and definitely has a mind of her own and is not afraid to wield it.

The first three chapters are not enough! I hope I win a copy so I don't have to wait until January 21st to see what happens next. I feel like I've found my next favorite crime novelist in Luna.
