Louisa Luna's first book, Two Girls Down, was one of my favorites last year. She elevates the classic detective novel. Her books are gritty, but they're descriptive and the characters are three-dimensional.

I'm already itching to read the next chapter and can't believe it doesn't come out for 3 months. I really like the bond that Vega and Cap have. I'd like to see how she handles working for/with the DEA and I've become fascinated recently with human trafficking stories - both with the stories of the girls themselves and how they survive in captivity and how they come to be captured/lured in the first place.

Plus, in the first book, Vega came to the PA area where Cap lives to work the case. This time he is coming to the CA area, where she lives. I want to see how that changes their dynamic...
