Not my topic but I was curious about the author

This isn't my favorite genre. I am not into horror but I do love ya books and strange creepy ones even more. This is the perfect book for this time of year so it was fun to read the excerpt right now even though it isn't my typical type of book to read. I love the cover and funny enough it has a similar vibe as the author's book "House of Hollow". And both covers are of a girl's face with one eye covered. Interesting how they have that similarity but entirely different styles. The story itself was well written and the characters are relatable but I don't like spooky books like this. I am interested to see how this book is received though because "House of Hollow" was big when it first came out. I was a high school librarian (until I moved to a new state and they won't accept my teaching certificate here) so seeing how author's grow in the book world interests me.
