I love a good horror novel that can make you shudder, and Krystal Sutherland is the queen at making that happen! Fair warning, this has an intense amount of body horror in it, and it can get really graphic and really disgusting at times. This book has a slow start as they introduce each girl and her background, but once they get together, the mystery starts expounding at a really fast clip and you are completely sucked in. Also, the magic system in this story was really unique and well-thought out. I liked how the magic had a definite cost that was really extreme to exchange for your power. The last half or so of the book was heavy with action and thrilling moments to keep you on the edge of your seat. By the time I got to the major climactic events of the ending, I was frantically speeding through pages to get to the end and find out what happens. I stayed up super late to finish it and the book did NOT disappoint! The ending was absolutely perfect for this story and reflected a lot of fantastic girl power energy. I cannot wait to add this one to my horror library!
