Overall, I enjoyed this book. I always love a dual or multiple person POV, which it has. I also love when fantasy and murder mystery combine, and Krystal Sutherland did it with witches, which makes it even better. I like the themes of powerful and strong women throughout the book. The writing was well done and the style of writing was enjoyable to read.
The tenacity and resourcefulness that is shown by the characters was great. I didn't really connect with any of them on a deeper level, but they were well rounded enough. They were each quite different, but came to work together since they could help each other. They had different goals, but needed similar means to reach them.
The story was interesting, although somewhat of a slow pace, it did keep my attention throughout the book. I will be checking out this authors other book "House of Hollow" after reading this one!
