Holy smokes I love this opening!! I'm a sucker for witchy stories and was already enticed with the premise of this book. The prologue opens with a scene of Halloween night and it is completely atmospheric and transports the reader to that moment and sets the tone perfectly. We are shown information about the speaker being a witch and some of the rules of the magic world to explain her shock at how they were being broken by the man chasing her. It was heart-pounding and intriguing. Strong imagery and the writer's Voice both have me dying to read more!
