I was excited to see that one of this weeks reads was by Krystal Sutherland, best known for her book "House of Hollow," which I adored. "The Invocations" seems to have many of the same elements contained within including a story centered around three women, LGBTQIA+ representation, and a fantasy horror aesthetic.
The prologue of this book drew me in with its creepy imagery and its strong clues that something very bad was about to happen very soon. My first impression of Emer is that she was really. . .odd. Zara and Jude both seem interesting, though I think I would have to read more to pinpoint who my favorite was.
The preview enthralled me and I cannot wait to read the full novel in the near future!
