Upon first reading this book, I felt a sense of suspense in the air. The atmospheric build-up is something the author does really well by immediately engulfing you in a spooky London night. With a developing thrill of tension and fear coming from our character, it does get easier to be hooked on the story.

I can also feel hints of shadow magic being dropped at us from the beginning, which makes me further excited to check how things are going to turn out ahead. With elements like All Hallow's Night, curses and rituals I feel this could be a great pick for Spooktober.
