This first look was written very relateable. I remember once going to a middle school dance dressed as smeagle (LOTR theme don't come for me) and seeing my crush with a brand new girlfriend dressed as a sexy elf and immediately leaving in the exact same fashion. I went home and ate snack cakes and thankfully no creepy shadow man followed me BUT on another note. This first look is extremely well written, I'm usually a horror reader and I lean to the extreme side of horror. So, I have never read this author, or House of Hollows. But this kept me on edge and interested, and I read the entire first look extremely fast. I cannot wait for this books release.
