I read "witchy thriller" at the beginning of the synopsis for THE INVOCATIONS and jumped right to the sample First Impression with excitement. The writing style was great and I felt sucked in from the first paragraphs but I did have to go back to the synopsis and read all of it to get a better sense of what was going on. I was a bit confused while reading the First Impression but once I clarified what the premise of the book was, things clicked for me and made more sense. I can't wait to read the rest of this one. I looks like it's going to be an interesting witchy read, perfect for spooky season.
