A wonderful introduction into Caleb and Adam's worlds. The Infinite Noise has a dual POV style of writing and allows into the minds of these two characters.
The excerpt begins with Caleb after a fight with another student, he is sent to therapy and begins his session with Dr. Bright. This session written in the novel plays out much like it does within the podcast of The Bright Sessions, with the addition of Caleb's internal monologue, which provides insight into his thoughts and feelings during this exchange, originally written from an omniscient perspective.
Caleb shares his feelings on his fight with Dr.Bright and we slowly get to see his opinion on her change.
Adam is also introduced in this sampler, his love of reading and a bit of his family background are shared. We get to know his character a bit more too!
