I don’t really know what I was expecting but this wasn’t it, in the best way possible. Immediately I loved the cover and the colours and graphics, the name is so strong, and reading the first 20 pages was so, so good. Caleb is a quickly relatable character and he breaks out of stereotypes, which is always a hell yeah for me! The small details throughout, the fact that screens go away before bed (something I can relate to) makes me want to read this book even more.

I always enjoy reading LGBTQ+ books, as I’m a part of the community, and I’m excited to see where this leads. I love the idea of “Atypicals”, something original and mysterious sounding. I will definitely be picking this book up later to read!
