I like the idea behind the book, but the writing reminds me more of that of a children's book rather than a Young Adult book. Also, the sample was small so I don't know if it really gave enough insight into the book. I will admit, I have never listened to The Bright Sessions which might make the book better. With that being said, the idea of Caleb having extreme empathy is really interesting and something that I think young readers might relate to a little bit. I would be interested in reading the entire book, maybe it would change my mind!
