The story of Caleb and Adam is intriguing. Although they are from different social groups, they cross paths and a relationship develops. I sense a crush happening. I enjoy that instead of magic, his “super power” is an enhanced ability. Empathy is something real and relatable. Taking it and making something even more in depth out of it makes for an interesting story. I am definitely curious to see what happens with Caleb and Adam and to see how Caleb uses his Empathic abilities. The cover of the book is simple but is a clever way of showing the main characters. I think the cover allows you to see it’s about these two boys who are still in school.
