Isn't runningback one word? If it's not, I really have to disapprove. This may contain some interesting sci-fi, but I'm a bit leery about having a hero who plays American football. It is such an intrinsically disgusting, dangerous, damaging sport. I think people should stop normalizing it by covering it as if it's something normal and OK for kids to be involved with, when every hit to the head does some sort of permanent damage.
