The thing that drew me in immediately was how authentic the first scene with the therapist felt to me. Yes, they end up talking about superpowers, which is outside reality, but Caleb started to feel comfortable talking to his therapist, Dr. Bright. It wasn't viewed as a negative thing, and this honestly made me want to keep reading!

I'm also intrigued by Adam's story. We get more of Caleb than Adam, but the little we get of Adam gives us enough of his character to make us want to understand him more. It mimics his first interaction with Caleb--did that make him want more, too?

Overall, the setup was different than I've seen in other YA books, and the cover is absolutely gorgeous. This is definitely a book I'd pick up in a heartbeat!
