I like the premise of The Infinite Noise a lot. Many boys are brought up with the idea that emotions shouldn't be shared so outwardly, and to see a novel with a central character having to tackle and understand his (and others') emotions is really interesting. I wasn't caught up in the plot immediately, but I liked it well enough. Both POV characters have distinct voices and they seem like real teenagers, not the melodramatic caricatures adults often portray teenagers as.
