The beginning of the book lagged a little bit. But I persisted in reading. I am happy I did. It started off strong. I couldn't help but develop feelings for Simon and Klara. I can't claim, though, that I became particularly attached to Varya or Daniel. In either case, the tale was astounding.

I heartily endorse this book. It tells the tale of four siblings who see a psychic while they are all young. They are informed of their death date by the psychic. The narrative is quite captivating. The story's inherent teachings are wonderful.

I first read this in 2018. It was a book club read for me. For the most part, I actually recall this book very clearly. which surprises me given how long ago I read it, myself. The decision was made by four siblings to learn their death dates. All but one of them spoke about what they had heard. No matter how persistently they pressed him, he remained silent. The narrative had a strong emotional core. Happy to have read it.
