Wow! The title just grabbed me, and after reading the first few sentences I was hooked. What an exciting pick this would be for a Book Club. So much to discuss! Would you want to know the date you were going to die? How would it change the way you lived your life? What would you want to accomplish before that date arrived? What a provocative topic. Even, do you believe this mystical person could really be able to truthfully tell you the day you were going to die?
It's well written, and since it takes place in the present, I feel like I could relate to the characters. From 1969 to post 9/11 makes it relevant to many readers. I grew up in NYC and I am drawn to the Lower East Side where this novel takes place.
