How would knowing the exact date of your death cause you to live your life?!? When the four Gold siblings enter a psychic's home they leave forever altered. Each child is told the date they will die causing them to make choices along the way both wise and destructive. For two siblings, it's a chance to lead a life of freedom from thought or concern, while for the other two it's a chance to accomplish as much as they can and make every moment count before their final end.
This book is not perfect, and some parts dragged but the premise was really thought provoking and would make for an awesome bookclub choice. The setting and era really worked well for this story.
