My first impression of this book was definitely undecided. First of all, the first few sentences discuss a thirteen year old's breast size and pubic hair. That's weird to me. I'm not ruling anything against the book because of it just yet, but it's definitely something that makes me wonder why that's necessary.
Another thing that immediately stood out to was the author's "voice." It seemed very dull to me. Very monotone. At least from the beginning passages, I didn't feel like I was connecting with the writing or the characters in any sense. However, since I haven't read the entire book yet, I don't know whether that was on purpose or not. The only way to find out is to keep on reading!
