THOUGHT PROVOKING BOOK "THE IMMORTALISTS" BY CHLOE BENJAMIN REVIEW
The immortalists is a beautifully written, thought-provoking story, unlike anything i have ever read before, about 4 siblings who are Israeli immigrants.who as children, go to see a woman who can tell the exact date of your death, despite being warned to stay away from her.
We follow our characters years later when they are adults. The book is exceptionally well written and unique. What I liked most about the immortalists was the representation of culture and the diversity of characters. we are thrown right into the story and just want to know what happens next.
Getting to know the death dates mentally disrupts our characters and they begin to abuse alcohol and cigarettes heavily. I love the way the book shows sibling relationships and cultural ritualism.
