The story is told in four parts beginning with Simon’s story. I really enjoyed the way Benjamin structured the story. The reader gets each siblings perspective and each one is compelling. Benjamin’s writing was easy to dive into and be swept away. There are several moments that were absolutely stunning.

There were some conflicts I was disappointed with. I want a resolution to Klara’s story. I needed a bit more character development in Daniel's to believe his choice was true to his character. Varya’s story felt a little forced. I also was totally creeped out by Eddie O’Donoghue. I can’t help but see parallels between Eddie and Luke. Regardless of what I wanted to see, I enjoyed the book and recommend it to others.
