Was immediately put off by the physical description of one of the Gold children in the opening paragraph - I don't expect a teen to be introduced with details about her pubic hair. It seemed harsh and out of sync with the rest of the excerpt.
When a character was revealed as gay the reference to vagina and cock was equally out of place. I'm not sure what the author intended.
That being said, I really enjoyed what I read! In just a few pages the different personalities of the Gold siblings are already starting to reveal themselves, and they are an interesting crew. Each has a unique perspective on the world and they compliment and contrast each other nicely. Looking forward to seeing the siblings interact as adults.
