The beginning of the story is interesting because it's so descriptive. I tend to like stories that are based in the past, even if it's just part of it. I especially love stories during the sixties and seventies. This definitely seems like my kind of story. The idea that this woman has powers and these siblings all want to go sounds like something I'd want to do too, personally. It's hilarious how they describe their mother as someone that they want to avoid, because she'd make them do something, which is like most mothers. I like that there's difference cultures talked about in this, like they would be in real life. The way the writer describe how someone looks or moves or acts is interesting.
