How do you live, knowing the date you will die

Book club selection from one of my book clubs. Interesting premise -- In 1969 in NY the four Gold children go to a gypsy woman who gives you the date you will die. Each sibling goes in alone and does not disclose his death date to the other siblings. Then the story is broken down into the lives and the deaths of the four. The Gold siblings are all unique and had their own perspectives but each one was very much ruled by this death date prediction. On a personal note … I was particularly interested in the references to Howard Thurston a magician who I do not hear mentioned very often … but of course very meaningful to me since my late husband was named after him … his first name was Thurston and middle name Howard.
