What would you do if as a child, you and your siblings went to a gypsy lady who told you each, individually, how old you would be when you were going to die? Would it affect how you lead your life and the life of those around you? That's precisely what happens to the Gold children. This is quite a debut from Chloe Benjamin. She goes into detail with each child and how what was told to him/her individually affected his/her life. The psychology behind the thought processes for each of these children is so well described. The author follows each child on his/her journey and his/her involvement with siblings and parents. Interspersed throughout the stories are flashbacks and the relationships between the siblings.
