Whew. Where do I start? I had HIGH HIGH hopes for this book based on the other reviews I read and all the talk about the book. SO maybe my expectations were just way too high to be met. Who knows.

The cover it just okay in my opinion. I'm not a fan of the color-scheme or illustration, but that's just me being picky.

The premise of this book is an interesting one that we have all thought about and maybe asked ourselves as well. If you could know the date you were going to die, would you want to know? Would you live your life any different? I'm sure most of us would say yes, we would live it differently, right?

This book is about a group of children that go visit a gypsy of sorts together. The gypsy tells them the exact date each of them will die. The first child DOES die on the date given. So the second and third..... but it was because of their own doings? Did they "make" the deaths occur based on being told the date and believing it? If they went to a different place at a different time, would the death still have happened?

By the time the story reached the pending death of the fourth child, I had honestly lost interest. The book started with off with a bang and... it just didn't live up to that through the entire book / ending.
