Four siblings whose lives seem to follow a destined path after meeting with a seer who tells them the exact date of their death.

I wanted to love this book. I really did. The descriptions of places and characters really brought the book to life.
But overall the story is just depressing. I have never been one to enjoy a book that has no happy resolution or at least an enemy to overcome. Although, one could argue that the enemy was the characters own minds. It flows through a sad and graphic look into the aids epidemic, crests into a dark suicide, crashes into revenge seeking tragedy, and yet there is no rainbow after the storm. The fourth sibling has lost almost everything and does not really have any happiness of her own.
I usually am one to keep books and reread over and over, but unfortunately this book will be donated.
