Honestly, I was turned off by the beginning of the book. Why describe a young thirteen year old girl in that way? What does that contribute to the book? I only briefly skimmed through the rest of the pages and probably won't pick up the book. Though the concept seems interesting, I was expecting something more fantastical and with a little more witchcraft. I was more bored by the intro then I was captivated so I didn't get sucked in by the hype of it. Four siblings, each knowing the date they will die - Varya, 13, Daniel, 11, Klara, 9, Simon, 7. They come back together when the father dies, each bringing up their own mortality and what was said that day as children by the seer. he cover is gorgeous and that's what drew me in to begin with.
