How would you live your life if you knew the exact day you would die? That knowledge affects the lives of four siblings. The story is told from the perspective of each sibling. We see the life decisions each one makes, all the while knowing when s/he will die. Questions arise. Are these death dates written in stone? Do these siblings choose their lives based on this knowledge, thereby making this act of fortune telling come true? Each sibling's story also allows the reader to learn more about the lives of the other siblings. I didn't grow to love or identify with any of the characters, but I still wanted to continue to read this well-written novel. I was left with questions I continue to think about several weeks after I finished the book.

The cover is attractive.
