I started this book simplify because a friend gave it to me. But after reading it I know find my thoughts sometimes drifting back to it. It talks about so many taboo or not often talked about things in such a beautiful way. Things such as Gay love, AIDS, suicide, LCD etc. The characters were all so unique and I loved getting to know them. This book really made me think about death and how if we know something it might lead to something else. The power if words is a string and mysterious force and the author does her job at making you remember that. Each character had such a powerful and moving ending that will be in my heart for many books to come. The ending warmed my heart and broke it at the same time. Although listed in fantasy I think this book is closer to real life then we think. Fantasy or not though, it's a beautiful book that will leave an impression.
