I haven't even read the full 35-page excerpt, but I can already tell you that if I had the full book in my hands, I think it's safe to say that I'd have a difficult time putting it down.

So, from the tiny amount that I've already read, this is a story that follows four siblings in a, I guess, lower-middle-class family, fed up with how they're living, and one sibling overhears a couple of boys talking about some woman who can tell you your future, including the day that you die. Where I stopped reading, it's still the prologue, which is super long, and the siblings have just found their way to this traveling psychic's apartment.

I stopped there because I really didn't need to read any further to know that this would be a book that I'd most certainly buy, and I didn't want to spoil myself by reading any more than I had. The cover is absolutely gorgeous, too.
