I really enjoyed the author’s writing - her insight into people’s inner lives is impressive, and she is equally skilled at external description. The characters are interesting and varied, and differing cultural details are vividly and warmly brought to life. The concept is compelling - who hasn’t thought of what they would do if they knew their future? By the end, I was impatient to learn what would happen and didn’t want it to end.
