This was a mixed bag for me. The cover is striking but doesn't really tell me much about the book. The blurb is interesting, but almost dry? For punch that the prologue packs, I feel like the blurb could be a little more enticing.
I did like the prologue, though it moved a little slowly for me. There was much detail that I felt like I didn't necessarily need. I skimmed a bit - which, when we're talking about the prologue, doesn't bode well. This seems like a story I could definitely find fascinating, but the first look threw up a couple of alarm bells for me so I'm not sure it would be for me in the end.
