I, like a few others, struggled just getting through the first paragraph. It wasn't so much that I was disturbed by the physical descriptors of a 13 year old girl, but it just felt creepy. It wasn't, for me, a very good start to a book. In the first few pages I'm expecting to be intrigued and caught up. Despite being turned off from the start, I continued reading because the summary sounded intriguing, but I just wasn't feeling it.
