What would you do if you could know when you would die?
This story examines this subject through the eyes for four young children. Each child will die at a different time in their life and this affects their decisions as they get older. Or at least that is the premise.
The story is written well, however, there are times that the author seems to write descriptions that do not move the story along at all. For example, the beginning description of the 13 year old girl is seemingly out of place. It would make sense in a coming of age novel, but that is not what this is. It just seems like overkill in trying to get the reader to imagine a young child. This happens a few times in the beginning.
I really love the idea behind the story, but my first impression is that it I will be disappointed if I read further. It is by no means a bad book, but it does not have the pace nor style of writing that I thought would make this book great.

Book Cover
I love the artwork on the book, but I have no idea what it has to do with the story. However, it might make sense if I had read further.
