What would any of us do if we knew the date we were going to die? The four Gold siblings don't have to ponder this, that is, after visiting a fortune teller in 1969. The peek that we get of this story is enough to draw the reader in and the idea floating around of what the brothers and sisters will do with their lives is enough to make me want to read the rest of the book. I'm a little hesitant only due to the fact that it seems like it could be a rather macabre rumination on the theories of fate / destiny. I don't typically like to read things that are too dark / depressing and I'm hoping this story is more about living life to the fullest with a positive spin, rather than living in a state of excess due to knowing when you're going to die kind of thing.
