This book was a disappointment. After reading an excerpt, I really expected a different finished product. What I wanted to experience was that summer feeling -- brush shoulders with a few rich and famous New Yorkers -- a fun beach read. The problem was not with the writing itself, just the story arc. There was just too much dysfunction and deplorable for me. This is a good book for people who liked The Nest. It was not for me. The relationships I was rooting for tended to fizzle while the ones that were not my faves survived at the end of the book.
