Ruthie loves her home in the Hamptons, she always has. Yet there is a catch, a big catch. In order to afford her home in the Hamptons she needs to rent it out! Ruthie is a middle aged women going through a friendly divorce. Her and her husband own the home in the Hamptons. They leave and rent their beach house in the summer season in order to live there the rest of the year and their tenant and many others cause problems of their own. This year’s renter is Adeline and her adult, outlandish son. Ruthie once worked for Adeline’s ex-husband Peter as his assistant and cannot stand Adeline from the day one. She has a teenage daughter that hates the summer bummer! I would recommend this book, as the art world and life in the Hamptons had its fascinating moments.
