I can see the appeal of this story but it didn’t work for me. The main character was a bit whiny for me and the whole story idea just didn’t interest me. It was dull and very oh poor me. Plus the writing didn’t grab my attention. The author’s narration sounded like so many others it got to be like the adults in the Charlie Brown movies. I can see how someone going through similar things would enjoy this book as there is room for reflection but if not then it just doesn’t connect. If you give your home to someone then of course they are going to live there. Just plain silly. The one thing I liked was the cover. It made me feel like throwing on a bathing suit and running towards the water. The colors are stunning.
