When I initially read the First Look, I was hooked and wanted to read more. I am so glad that I did! I loved reading about a world that I know nothing about. Summers on the East Coast with the rich and famous sound so fun and The High Season showed the good and bad sides of summer. Although there were numerous characters and story lines I found my favorites and rooted along with them. Ruthie definitely made choices that had me cringing, but I was also dying to read more. Adeline and Michael's characters seemed believable and the starving artist aspect did too! I can't relate to these people or their lifestyles, but that is what made me enjoy it even more. It was an escape read and perfect for summer. Thank you to Bookish First for introducing me to this great book that I will be recommending to others!
