They say the drama happens in the Hamptons, but the quiet beach town of North Fork has its own share this summer. Ruthie, director of the Belfry museum, is just trying to keep her torn family afloat and provide enough so they can keep their beach house -- at least for nine months of the year. What she doesn't know, is that her coworkers are plotting for her job and trying to spark change in the quiet town. Doe, a girl with plenty of secrets of her own, runs the social media of both the Belfry and secretly runs a gossip Instagram for the town.
The main characters of this book are likable and make you feel for their rough situations. However, much of the plot was predictable and was at times hard to hold my interest. The characters seemed to have little common sense, which could have prevented some of their problems from occurring in the first place. Despite this, the book was an enjoyable read, even if lacking a little in the plot.
