Judy Blundell has written a nice, comfy beach-read---or has she? While it starts that way with, the summer beach house being lent out to Adeline Clay and her son and Ruthie and Jem moving to their temporary summer home.

Mike and Ruthie are divorced, but quite amiable. After this brief intro read, I can't decide if I want them to find their way back to each other or if I want a new life journey for Ruthie to begin. And what does Adeline bring to the plot? A secret? A problem?

Whatever happens, High Season promises to be a very readable novel and I look forward to continuing the story.
