Memorial Weekend is here and Jem and Ruthie have to move out of their house to make room for wealthy summer renters. The short read we get introduces us to the people I expect to be the main characters: Ruthie, the woman who owns the home, Mike, her supposed ex-husband, Jem, her teen daughter, Adeline, a rich art widow who rents the house for the entire summer and picked it because it was out of the way, and her son, Lucas, a recent Ivy League graduate. Other than general impressions of what goes on between the locals and the holidaying rich people, I'm not sure where this one is going. There are 400 more pages to read!
