I love a good science fiction novel with a female main character but this just didn't do it for me. The female character is not relatable though and does not feel realistic. She was very two dimensional and did not keep my interested. The world building is dull and only skin deep. It is not well fleshed out and I didn't care to learn more about it. This felt more like fan fiction. The cover is also not very well put together and feels very debut novel. Overall this book is not my cup of tea. i am sure it has a readership but I am not part of that readership. The other thing thst bothered me is that this felt so very unoriginal. It just didn't stick out in my mind as quality science fiction or even creative science fiction. These days so many books have been published in most every genre that it is difficult to write anything terribly original but there are things that are less used that provide more fun for the reader.
