I tend to like YA fiction but sometimes feel like I'm a little too old, especially when it seems to center around students in high school (I graduated almost 15 years ago, holy cow!) This book did not make me feel old at all! I really enjoy the paranormal/horror genre in regular fiction books and movies so I knew after reading the first look that I was interested in trying this book out. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed the main character, especially the theme of her moving somewhere new (which is terrifying enough for a high school student) and into a big, scary house. I thought the fact that the house was being renovated added to the scary factor (i.e. plastic sheeting hanging between rooms, spooky!) I am passing this book along to my family and friends to check out. 2 thumbs up.
