I've tried getting down with Danielle Vega's novels in the past and have always been left feeling let down when pushing through her novels with no pay off. This novel was no different. She experiments with supernatural events and characters, but not in a super cool way. It feels cheap and is cheapened even further with the young adult writing she crafts.
